Pups are such a central attraction of WolfQuest that it’s hard to believe the game lacked them initially. But those furballs we added in WolfQuest 2 back in 2010 now are getting a bit long in the tooth, so we decided to remake them along with the rest of the game for WolfQuest 3. Even better, pups will not only look a lot better, but they’ll act in more interesting ways as well. Like your mate, they’ll have personalities: Bold, shy, lazy or energetic, they’ll interact with you and with each other in even more delightful ways than before. They might even get sick!

How would you like to interact with your pups? Post your ideas below!

I was in a WolfQuest server when I saw this. Everyone in that server kind of freaked out from the adorableness of the new pups. Great job! I can't wait until every single bit falls into place in WolfQuest 3.

The pups look absolutely amazing! I can't wait to see them in game!

I do have one concern though, how would sickness work? Realistically there doesn't seem to be much a wolf can do about that (as far as I know) and it doesn't sound like a lot of fun to have a pup get sick due to random chance, then slowly watch them die while there's nothing you can do about it. Or will it be more like a period of time that pup is more vulnerable to threats?

Not really an interaction idea, but maybe a puppy's coat colour could affect it's survival chances? Like a white puppy would be more likely to be targeted by predators than a brown one.

They look more realistic now. I really like it! Now I realized that every model in the game except for moose, coyotes, cougars, hares, and foxes are being edited.

Oh my goodness! These little babies are adorable! I can’t wait to see them in...*cough* “person.” As for suggestions? Mmm... brainstorming session commence!
1. Clean pups (wolves do clean their pups, yes?)
2. Discipline pups (in a non-violent way, of course.)
3. Sleep and cuddle with pups
4. Have them crawl on and badger you (if you’re laying down or trying to rest. This would be adorable.)
5. Interact, not only with you and your mate more, but with their environment. E.g. chase a butterfly, yip at a toad, sniff tracks, etc.
6. Actually have the pups go inside the den if you’re away.

I would also like to know how the illness(es) would play out!
