WolfQuest Contest -- September 2016 -- Winners Announced!

It's time for the monthly contest to give away a free copy of WolfQuest 2.7! As usual, we will give away four copies of the game to the lucky winners.

This Month's Question:
Biologists use radio collars to track wolves and learn about their behavior. What percentage of wolves in Yellowstone wear a radio collar?

How to Enter:
Find the answer to that question and send it to us at contest1@wolfquest.org. (Note: The latest data we can find is from 2013, but if you find newer data, please cite your source.)

Deadllne:
All entries must be received by midnight, Eastern Standard Time (US), on Thursday, September 29.

Entry Requirements:
Valid entries must include:
• The answer to the question: What percentage of wolves in Yellowstone wear a radio collar? (with source/citation if newer than 2013).
• Your email address.
• Your WQ forum username (Required! If you haven't registered for the forum, now's the time!)

Random Drawing:
Each entry with the correct answer to this question will be assigned a number. We will then use a random-number generator to generate four numbers. The entries bearing those numbers will each win a free copy of the game.

The answer to the question? In 2013, 22%-24% of wolves in Yellowstone wore radio collars. (Turns out the percentage varied a bit through the year, so answers in that range are considered correct.)

Wolves range far and wide throughout Yellowstone’s 2.2-million acres of dense wilderness, yet the Park’s wolf population is one of the most studied populations of wild wolves ever. It is radio collars that enable the monitoring of multiple wolf packs across this vast area. Thanks to sponsorship donations from generous Friends of Yellowstone, the Yellowstone Wolf Project is able to place 25-30 collars on wolves annually. Both VHF and GPS collars are deployed, providing the basis for nearly all other aspects of Yellowstone’s wolf research program.

VHF (Very High Frequency) collars are used when researchers can get closer to wolves and track them. GPS (Global Positioning System) collars work with satellites and store information for later retrieval, so they can be used to track wolves at great distances.

Just to be sure, would I be allowed to enter the contest even if I already have it on PC to get it on a mobile device? If I was one of the four selected, would it work with mobile as well?
Or am I not allowed to participate since I already have it on PC?

My little sister said she sent in the answer. All I want to know, is when you send in the answer if it is correct will they send a number back to the answer that was correct or will they not?

You can enter the contest even if you already have the game on one platform, in hopes of getting it for another platform.

We'll announce the correct answer here on Friday, along with the winners.
