Well, many of you may have already noticed a new usergroup in the forums- the WolfQuest Report Team. This idea has been suggested many times, by many different people, but I had always been hesitant in adding one because I don't want to discourage regular members from reporting as well. But as the moderators are busy moderating the forums and multiplayer abuse is somewhat rampant, I'd really like to step up our multiplayer game reporting so we can try to eliminate as much of the problem as we can, without removing every word that could possibly be used inappropriately. Granted, 2.5 will have in-game rules and better chat filtering, so hopefully much of the problem will be eliminated that way, but I really don't think it would hurt to have more people regularly patrolling and reporting games, and doing so in a manner that actually allows me to ban the people who are acting inappropriately.
So, if you are interested and can commit to regularly patrolling multiplayer games and serving as a contact point for people who are having trouble reporting, please fill out the application quoted below and e-mail it to coordinator@wolfquest.org. If you apply, you agree to follow the Report Team expectations, which are still in the works, but basically consist of at least weekly patrolling, serving as a role model, and being able to properly report games and follow directions as given. I'll have you agree to an official list of expectations if you're chosen (and you can read before accepting). Perks for the group will include an Abuse Team-only forum and a colored (probably blue) name.
I will continue accepting applications until I feel we have a good starting team, and it may take just a few hours or multiple weeks before I start adding people. Any questions, please post them here.WolfQuest Report Team Application wrote: Username:

Please answer the following questions:
1) How often can you regularly patrol multiplayer games?
2) What kinds of behavior should you report? Please give examples.
3) What’s the best way to deal with players who are using inappropriate behavior or language?
4) How do you submit an abuse report?
5) How often do you check your e-mail?
6) Do you have any questions, concerns, or comments? If so, please list them here.
Finally, please provide at least one sample abuse report you have submitted in the past, or, if possible, create an abuse report that shows current inappropriate behavior that has not yet been reported. You should provide all information you would normally provide in an abuse report. (Please mention if it has already been reported or if it is a new report.)
Thank you for applying! I will send you an e-mail if you are chosen to be part of the team. Even if you are not chosen to be part of the Abuse Report Team, you are always welcome and encouraged to submit abuse reports if you see inappropriate behavior in WolfQuest multiplayer games.
An important note: no one should make 'bait' chats to try to get inappropriate players to join. If you create a mate-related or otherwise inappropriate chat, you can be reported and warned/banned for it.
Please pass this along to anyone you know who may be trying this technique to find more players to report- it is not something I'd like to see happening. Thank you. (Will copy in the first post as well.)
