Not long ago I went to the sea life centre where we could touch starfish and anemones. They both felt surprisingly different to how you'd think!

Not so many animals, but i have touched some.
This summer, i went to a sea life center were you could touch a starfish. It felt really weird lol. When i was little, i touched a squirrel and some type of bird. I don't think i have touched more wild animals than that, but if i have, i can't remember.

I poked a legless lizard today! He was in the driveway, and I wasn't sure if he was being reaaaally still or if he was dead. So I poked him. He was super cool!! Wiggled away, it wasn't a sophisticated slither like snakes have going on. Looked a lot like a snake, but different scales, a different head, and most notably, eyelids. Which is why he is a lizard and not a snake. Just really neat in general!

I have touched quite a few, mostly small animals. I have ridden an ostrich, stroked a cheetah, and we do own chickens which I regularly come in contact with.

I touched an alligator that had it's mouth tapped closed and petted dolphins several times during childhood. So rubbery xD. And of course little native things like birds, lizzards, frogs, etc. And one time a baby deer that was stuck in a ditch on the side of a highway. It was the sweetest thing ever <3 Took her to a wildlife rescue. Never heard if she made it or not, she was just a newborn.

A few snakes, a few turtles, some frogs....y'know, the usual when you're wading around in swamps.

I think only frogs.
Well, and a Zebra at the zoo once because it was standing really close. It didn't even mind.

I have never touched interesting animals. Just frogs, lizzards, little birds, etc. I live in a part of my country that is too civilized, so it is kinda rare to see big wild animals around (except for anteaters, that you see ofter close to roads). But once I went to a zoo, where they let me touch a snake (that was pretty cool), an elephant and a Canindé-Macaw (a huge and beautiful macaw that has the country colors! Loved it!) XD

Frogs because they're out here a lot where I live.
And I've pet snakes before, but that was in a zoo, so they are actually not considered wild animals.

All wild animals over here are either very shy and never come out, or they're too fast. And actually we don't really have much wild animals here I could consider interesting...

So I guess I've never really pet a wild animal. Too bad.

I touched a few. One was at an aquarium in Philly. They let us pet the little baby sharks (they were so kawaii).
The second time was in the woods near my school. See, there's woods by the school field & track. And, we're not allowed to go in the woods, but everyone does anyway. So there was a lil frog. I picked it up. and the frog relieved it's bladder on me. The last time, we were at a field trip at a state park, and there was a scavenger hunt, and one of the items was a salamander. I found one under a rock and carried it around for a while. It was pretty cool. I also picked up dead field mice that broke into my house :|

I've touched a squirrel after pursuing it with my friends in a wide open area. It was only a short whiff. That's all I've ever really touched beyond the petting zoo.

About two months ago I went trekking to a hot spring, I camped there and during the morning there were a lot of birds outside my tent. I used a piece of bread and crumbs to drive their attention next to me and one of the birds took a piece of bread off my hand, maybe that counts as touching a wild animal? Haha

The most notable (live) animal I've touched were wolves, but they were captive at Wolf Mountain Sanctuary

In terms of completely wild animals, I've mostly only handled lizards (San Diego alligator lizards and western fence lizards), some sick/injured birds (house finch, European starling, hummingbird), and a few waterfowl (mallards, including ducklings, Canada geese, coots), but I've also caught two frogs, a newt, a gopher snake, and touched a (very sleepy and cold) rattlesnake.

I noted live earlier because on a recent trip to the California Natural History museum, I was given the opportunity to touch an elephant's foot, a gorilla's hand, and a leopard's pelt, in addition to various North American mammal pelts.
All the pieces lie where they fell...

Let me tell you now, in Hawaii there are pretty tame yet wild animals everywhere. I've touched wild peacocks and chickens and (sorta) pigs, strange birds, lots of fish if they even count, mice. And here in New York (state) my backyard is protected (bird?) land (I'm not too sure, they briefly mentioned it when we moved in). Ive touched all sorts of animals back there
