I have drawn a picture of "epic bug" it's shaded in pencil and not colored. Sorry for late-ness and cartoony-ness :'(

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v43/u ... picbug.jpg

and the finger is supposed to represent my small pinky or ring finger. It was a small ish bug. I really, really wish I have an actual picture of it though.

Take a look in there and see if you see anything familiar. I kept coming back to either a rove beetle, a earwig, or possibly a wind scorpion.

I think there's some pix in there of the spider scorpions...those are pretty cool :)

It had the body of this http://bugguide.net/node/view/264965 but not quite the color and it had more plating much like the plating on the tail. The head was more ant like and it's attena's weren't barbed like that. It had eyes and could see, and I know ants are usually born blind and eyeless, but this thing could see. It's head was simalar to this though: http://bugguide.net/node/view/140036 smooth antenna
This was more the color: http://bugguide.net/node/view/4248 and soft plates like that, but the tail wasn't pincer like it was scorpian like.
And it didn't have wings, it was moving on the ground. Very.......Very aggressive.

It doesn't have front pincers, if it did at one point there would be markings where the pincers used to be. It was a 6 legged strange bug that I've only seen once so far.

Oh my gosh! I found a bug on our porch that looked just like that! It had huge pinchers, and was big! Wow! A scorpion beetle maybe.

I still think it's either someone's science experiment of gene splicing or it's a new species that no one has named yet.

And unless I could find the bug again and take a picture of it + kill it or preserve it somehow, they would probably laugh at me just like you are laughing right now.

:EDIT: I found a picture of the bug I saw and it's almost exactly alike! The only problem is the bug I saw litterly had a stiner on the end of it's tail and it was reddish.
