This may be late into the month, but hopefully you guys will enjoy this one! It's summer here in the northern hemisphere, and that means that many of us will be going out for a dip in a beach or lake. For this theme, please send in your photographs of lakes, ponds, oceans, rivers, and any other bodies of water that you can find naturally! Also, it is okay if there are animals in the photo, such as geese in a lake. As long as it's natural water, then send it in^^

Tell us about the nature of the photo too, such as the general location, the name of the body of water, etc.

All submissions will be posted on the first page of the thread, so always check back for new additions! Users may also comment/compare photos, share photography tips, and so on.

Please review the rules before submitting!

Note from SilverMoonlight: Helloes! SilverMoonlight again. ^^ Here's 6 photos from the 7 years we were stationed in Hawaii. The first photo was of a beach on the Island of Oahu, and I believe it was from our first year there. The next three were of the Barking Sands beach on Kauai. The one after those is a waterfall from the rain running off the steep mountains, and the last was a stream through a collection of red dirt.

Note from Adalae: So the first one is the ocean near my house, about 7 minutes away. The second, third, and fourth are pictures of the river in Chattanogga, Tennessee. The final one is a body of water in Boston, Massachusetts and was taken from the multi-level parking lot of the Boston Museum of Science

Note From Rikkuzilla: The pictures above are from the Great Smoky Mountains. The first picture is of Laurel Falls. I had to crop this picture, since there was another photographer in the way when I took it. The other picture is of some mountain rapids. Unfortunately these pictures are best viewed at a much higher resolution, but required some adjusting to make them more "forum-friendly".

Thanks flower! Barking Sands really was an incredible place, I loved Kauai. As well we saw a pod of dolphins off the shore one day, but I don't believe we got many pictures since they were so off shore. As well the beach had little coral to cut your feet up with and the waves were cool. In addition to this, it was shallow enough to wade in for some distance and me and my younger sibling loved to race through the shallows. XD

Did you know that, on the island of Kauai, Mt Waialeale is the 3rd rainiest place in the world with a total of 451 inches or so a year? Yeah. Hawaii is rainy. ^^ I don't think we got many good pictures of it though because, well, it was raining. I'll definitely go look to see if we got a picture though, it was one heck of a water landscape. I think the picture of the water running off the mountain was likely runoff from that spot, though I may be wrong.

EDIT: I did find one! Though it's not exactly a water landscape, so I won't be sending it in. The sign reads;
"Wai'ale'ale, one of the wettest spot on earth, elevation 5148FT"

Here is a link to the image.

Beautiful pictures Silver! The fourth one is personally my favorite, and how the water seems to be reflecting off the sky is just stunning. ^^

Great pictures everyone! The variations between all them is awesome, especially since members get a chance to see other beautiful places. ^^ Addy, I love the third picture you submitted .. the trees reflecting along the water is amazing. :'D Also, stunning shots, SilverMoonlight! Again, the third and forth photos listed are wonderful captures!

Those are really great photos, too bad here you can't find much water landscapes (at least not in Santiago).

Wonderful pictures Addy! They're really nice! My favorite has to be the third one- I love the reflections on the water. But all of them are really great! It's hard to have a favorite in the first place.

Oh wow. These pictures look great! I especially like the third picture of Tennessee . It looks like a parallel world the way the trees reflect all wavy and stuff ^^.
