But you did save her; her let her back into the woods. Sure you didn't feed her, but you did the best thing. She can find lots and lots of food in the woods, and not be so scared anymore, maybe even find a family. You should be proud that you rescued an animal, to make it happier, safe, and put it somewhere where it wants to live. Maybe that is where it came from in the first place! Think how scared the weasel was when you were trying to catch it in the cage. Anyway, I'm happy for you :)
