It depends on the names of the parents. I rp a lot and have a lot of 'wolves', so to speak, so I name my wolves in wolfquest like them and then name their mate and pups and so on like it is on the forum I rp.

Or I also call them like my pets, I had once four male pups and I called them like my four rats. I never go to the rendez-vous site so I can always play with all 'packs'.

Okay, let's see if my slumpy brain can word this correctly. IT'S STORY TIME

Recently (like, two days ago) I was listening to "Eye of the Tiger" while drowning my pups on 2.5 to get proper coat colours when one of them just refused to die. But finally, after around nine tries, they finally did. So when I asked my friend what I should name my new litter of beautiful offspring she suggested "Survivor" (both after the artist of "Eye of the Tiger" and also after the original pup that refused to die). That resulted in me naming the rest of the pups "Legacy" "Flourish" and "Prosper" in hopes they would do/be so (which they did, but only after a demonic glitchy bear destroyed my game, froze my entire computer and killed me gahhh).

So now I've kind of started a new tradition of naming my pups after adjectives and nouns that have a positive meaning in hopes they'll become their name, so-to-speak. (Just how Survivor became a survivor)

I normally don't name my pups in 2.5 when I know I'm going to kill them to make their pelt colours show up. Or I name them something incredibly stupid.

I like giving them cute little names or naming my wolf & my mate after anime parents & the pups after their kids. I've done foods, game characters, objects around my room, after deceased pets, colors, weathers, woods, brands, personality traits, famous people, homestuck characters, etc

I like giving my pups natural kind of names as well. Breeze, Raven, Ember... Then I like mixing it up to be more interesting by giving one of them a random savage name like Poison XD
Cardinal like the color red!

I usually tend to name both my wolves and pups after animals. Such as Moose, Owl, Bear etc. Depending on how they look!

I find it fitting for the game and it results in a lot of fun and cute names to go with the pups!

For some reason I have this weird thing where I often find naming wolves or dragons after birds, sometimes trees, but mainly birds. For example, I have a set of wolves called Kestrel and her brother Falcon. Their other siblings are Lark, Starling and Magpie. I thought about Hawk too. I don't even know why I name them after birds!

I have been starting to prefer more naturalistic or unique names. Kind of like my character, who mind you did grow up as a pup I raised, Aspenwood. I also like other name types, but usually I like the uniqueness of some names and choose that.
Taking your time when you can is key to a healthy lifestyle. You may have a set lifespan, but you don't have to rush yourself every second of it.

Silly, nonsensical names. Especially when testing.

I name both my mate and my pups by hitting my hand on my keyboard and seeing what happens.
I'm not very good at naming things.

Hmm, it really just depends on whatever kind of name hits me at the time. However, I do like to make the names more unique, and not something that one would think as common.
