Killing Bull elk (Your experiences0
It's been a long time since I killed a bull elk. Today it took me 6-7 tries just to kill one. They turn around more than they have you chase them. Why is that anyways.

Oh, I've killed plenty of them during my time on WolfQuest, mainly on multiplayer with a couple of friends.
They're a lot of fun to pile up around your den, despite the fact that you have to die like 20 times to kill them by yourself, and at least once or twice with a pack, and sometimes they vanish after or while your killing it, which is somewhat annoying.
I used to play with these people, and we could take down a cow in just 7 seconds thanks to our strategy, though bulls were a lot harder as they take out health when you bite them... Good for a challenge.
Another bunch of people I used to play with used to kill over 10 bulls each game, and we herded them towards a chosen area.
A friend of mine like to guide a bull all the way from bison peak hunting ground to the campfire in Douglas Fir Slopes in Slough Creek, then ambush it and kill it in the campfire. Heaps of fun. <33

I've killed plenty on multiplayer, but only once successfully on singleplayer (I have the bug where I have to restart the game if I die, and cannot just go back). On singleplayer I ended up getting to, like, one pixel of health then watching my mate die 5 times to finish it off.

Re: Killing Bull elk (Your experiences0
I usually kill bull elk on multiplayer mode since it feels easier. It's fun, but you die at least once. Good thing you can respawn.
There's always been a time where the bull elk just wants to swim badly and backs toward the creek. It's really annoying to hunt in water because your wolf is super slow. Whenever we move the bull elk away from one part of the creek, it just backs toward another.
And in conclusion, bull elks take your wolf's life a few times, are super annoying, and love to swim.

Re: Killing Bull elk (Your experiences0
I've noticed cow elk will keep running from wolves until they are very low on health, then they will stand and fight. Bull elk only run for a short while and then fight. I've been able to kill bull elk in single player without my wolf or its mate dying (helpful in amethyst mountain) by following these steps:
1. Chase the bull elk until he turns around and faces my wolves
2. Attack the bull elk with my wolf. The mate will help.
3. When both wolves are low on health, make my wolf howl. The mate will howl too and stop attacking.
4. Lead your wolf's mate to an elk carcass (my may need to use more than one).
5. Eat from the carcass until my wolf's health is restored. The mate will eat as well but only when low on health.
6. Attack the bull elk again
7. Go back to the carcasses as needed to restore health
8. Keep attacking the bull elk until I kill it.

I tried to kill a bull elk once, but I soon gave up the chase. I will probably try again, though.

I've hunted plenty of bull elk, though very few of them have been consecutive kills either as a result of hunting solo and scavenging along the way, or with a failing mate AI to "help".
In multiplayer, it's the interaction with other players that counts. :3

Nothing interesting happens.

Also, I have noticed that mates won't help you unless your wolf has either bitten the elk or been close enough to bite. Otherwise, they just run around.

In mp, we were hunting bull elk and I kept biting at it. I didn't stop for a carcass, so I only had a small sliver of health left. I couldn't catch up because I was very slow, even when the bull was just backing away. I ended up standing there, until I died right before it died >_<
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.
Re: Killing Bull elk (Your experiences0
I don't think I've tried to kill a bull elk on single player, but I killed one with some friends once and another one by myself because everyone disconnected. When I did it by myself, I was able to push the elk (since it stopped and turned after the first few bites) to an area where there were a lot of elk carcasses, and it didn't move fast so I could eat without losing it.
Edit: Ok, I've killed a bull elk on single player, but my mate decided not to listen to me when I tried to get him to eat a hare so he died. Twice. -_-

Re: Killing Bull elk (Your experiences0
Anytime I've ever killed a bull elk, it's mainly been in multiplayer xD
Almost everytime I've done it by myself on single player, I die multiple times.
I think the most annoying part about bull elk are their tendency to like to swim quite often -.- It doesn't bother me as much but, my wolf is super slow in water. ;-;
Mayyyn.
Bull elk > my skills.
They always win :'c
