There is an open field between saddle meadow and upland meadow that is fun to run around in and usually abundant in coyotes to chase. i also walk around the edges of douglas fir slopes searching for the hiking trail sign (which i still havent found to this date :|)

Sometimes, I'll start a random private MP game with only me in it, and just explore Slough Creek on my own, improve my rp typing skills, and have fun with the glitches.

1. Try to kill the whole elk herd
2. Make/build a rabbit graveyard, which I called the graveyard "fresh-kill pile".
3. Take cute/beautiful screenshots
4. Ramonly kill/chase away stranger wolves
5. Kill coyotes (this never gets old)
6. Leave my mate and pups for awhile
7. Go to the cattle ranch

I haven't actually tried these, but I thought them up and found them some rather good boredom busters.

1. Kill coyotes to mark exactly where the borders of the map are.
2. Kill a hare on top of another hare.
3. Train a pup to walk right into a predator.

That would be pretty fun to try to do!

1. Make a giant elk pile by killing a bunch of cow elk in one spot, then kill a bull elk there. Very effective way to kill a bull elk in AM (because when you die your body doesn't vanish like in SC).
2. You would have to be REALLY bored to do this... See how long you can do the experience points glitch before you crash.

If the forum counts-
Type in your username in the search bar. That always keeps me entertained.
You can also find old, dead topics to read over.

Here's a couple ideas, :3

-Attempt to find every glitch in the game.
-Try and ''lose''your mate. (x''D a personal favourite of mine)
-Attempt to die at the same time as an elk.
-Find the hare bush and spawns so many hares your game crashes.
-Try and kill a Grizzly Bear.

Just a few of the things I like to do. (:

  • See what happens if you starve your pup to death by holding it in your mouth a long time. You may also do it in head view.
  • Make videos of funny glitches and put it to classical music.
  • In the final mission, run into a wolf territory. Turn around and let the stranger chase you as long as you can bear. Run from Douglas Fir Territory to Upland, and back and forth and see how many stranger wolves you can get chasing you.
  • Find the Moon Tree. Then wait for a thunder storm and see if you can get it to catch fire.
  • Role play Star Wars or Indiana "Bones", turning them into dramatic wolf versions. ^.^
  • Try playing the game with different themes about the wolf name, colors, patterns, "wolf personalities/interests", etc. Possible themes are technology/computers, astronomy, Greek gods, tribal-->you might change pup/mate names as they develop, so you could have names like Leaper if they leap, then if they later swim the river on their own, you'd call them River or Current.
    - See if there is a glitch that will make you avoid getting shot on the cattle ranch (and then tell me about it ^.-)
  • After you have pups, don't train them to stay at the den, and move to another location or den to live, then finish the game without going back. Tip: Don't howl or they'll want to go back to the den.
  • Or in response to above: After you get pups, take them to the opposite side of the map, and howl and howl until the blue bar fills, and see how long it takes for them to get back to the den.

I think, if you're bored on single-player, you could see how many elk carcasses you can get in one game. :D
