Saving spots really isn't a concern of mine. I'd prefer if you didn't, but if you ask me to leave politely, I will. If you're rude, I probably won't--I'll just report you. I understand that it's a bit irritating to disconnect from a chat, return, and find that it's full.

My opinion on saving spots is that it is okay at some point to save spots for your friends but also some users should consider allowing other users to come on their servers because it gives them a chance to make friends and also the users you have not been on your server might have taken interest in your pack.

This would let other users know that you are very inviting so who knows you could end up knowing every one in the community one day.

I, personally, don't care what they do, as long as they don't command me to do so.
People say you can't live without love.
I think oxygen is more important.

I don't really mind if they at least say hi, instead of just saying "leave saving spot". Otherwise I will be a little miffed but not too terribly bothered.

It's against the rules, so I think it's safe to say 'yes'. :3

Adding on- it's only appropriate to report it if it's an open game. If you by chance stumble upon a private chat and they say "Please leave saving spots," You should not report them. Though it's against the rules to do so, this is a private game, so they want friends there only. ;)

I honestly don't care for it much, as long as they aren't rude about it. :P

I have two opinions. First of all, if the player has crashed and must leave the game and go back on, i an understand. If the person asks nicely i would leave. What i don't like is when (personal experience) i am continually asked to leave each chat i go to, and rudely too.

Okay, honestly, I used to do it, but I don't anymore, because I realized just how plain rude it is when you enter an open multiplayer game and you aren't in there for 2 seconds before everyone starts screaming at you to get out. People should make private games if they want to play with their friends only, as most of them have been told. And I noticed (and am sure that other people have noticed too) that it seems that people don't read the rules that pop up on your screen before you create or enter a MP server, as I have seen chats that say "savingspots" or "savespots". And I once heard a story of a chat that said "EveryoneWelcome" and a user entered and the other users said: "saving spots! Get out!". It's just mean. I wish I could stop all this. No, I wish we could stop all this. It is against the rules, and it really is rude, and mean. And a question: Can you report someone for saving spots?

EDIT

I read the post above and my question was answered. Thanks! ^_^

Generally, saving spots is not very smart, because what if the user who was is brb mode, lets say, FrostyToes is gone. He doesn't come back to the game until 2 hours later!

So when the leader of the pack keeps telling you to leave, and you refuse, the pack could already be full! See what I mean?

I can deal with it if it's phrased as a request rather than a command. I haven't gone patrolling in ages, but when I used to, I only reported it if they actually commanded me to leave - if it was always a request, I let it pass by.

I do think it is rude toward the person who is being told to leave, but it is disappointing toward the person who want's to rejoin. But what if someone is your friend and take's up the space? This is what private games are basically for.

If you want to save a spot, here is what you can do-

Make a private game.

That is basically it.

But you can't-

Command
Threaten
Bad language
Or simply being plain rude.

I don't like it when people save spots on WolfQuest. Not only is it against WolfQuest rules, but it is unfair. If you have an open chat, that means it is OPEN. Other players have a right to be in it.
