What type of sight do you prefer?
I wanted to know which of the camera you prefer, the "V" scent (1rst person player), Head camera (HC), the "O camera" or the Normal view (3erd person player). I honestly prefer the V scent view because it feels more of a real wolf, how they see things, the scents, etc. I just use the NV when just chatting with my friends at Multiplayer or when I do patrol sessions. The OC is quite annoying, since I don't really see where I am going, but it is good for taking some good screenshots.
Make sure to participate in the poll and state why you like the camera view you use.

Oh, don't forget about the head cam; it makes me dizzy though.
I prefer just the normal view. I'm more of a third person player^^

Cool topic!
I. too, usually use Scent View. I, just, like it better. I thought I was the only one. You have the scents, and it's close to the head cam without the glitchyness. I use O cam and head cam for screenies for mates and pups, somethimes using head camera to scout for eagles. I use Normal View when, well, I need to see something, or whatever reason Scent view doesn't work.

Thanks Sintact^^
I guess I should comment on all of them, eh? Well, I always use the VS when trying to find something off in the distance, probably my second favorite. The OC I only use for when I take screenshots, because it's kinda hard to control in that mode. The HC, as I mentioned, makes me dizzy because you're bobbing up and down constantly, but it's the most realistic view. And NV is just what I use most frequently because I have a wider range of viewing.

Re: V scent (VS), O camera (OC) or Normal view (NV)?
When i first played wolf quest i used normal view. The first time ever I used orbit i went crazy and my wolf was out of control! So I used normal view. Then I watched this video of wolf quest on youtube and they had their wolf in orbit view and made the camera turn around the wolf and they said that you press [ or ] to do it. Now I almost always use orbit view. I even hunt in orbit view! I like this view better because its more realistic as you can see your wolf from all sides! Now I have complete control in orbit view because I practiced using it and turned the camera around when needed and used it so much that I just got used to it. Practice makes perfect! ^^ I only use scent view when I need to smell something. I only use head cam so I can see the way my wolf sees! But I don't use head cam much cuz when you walk and run, it bounces up and down and makes me dizzy!
Overall I like them all but my favorite is orbit view cuz I like the way it is and use it a lot.

I will add that option now, but make sure everyone that already voted votes again; because each time a new option is added, all the previous votes are erased.
I am glad you guys enjoy this new discussion.

Re: What type of sight do you prefer?
I prefer using the the normal view, I prefer a third person kind of thing.
As for the others, the HC is really good since its like your looking through a wolf's eyes and its useful to use when taking screenshots of your puppies, though with the camera swinging around it makes me feel kinda like I'm on a boat. V I like to since again its like looking through a wolf's eyes and its quite cool playing in black and white.

Source: http://www.wolfquest.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=29323How do I get to the headcam/'wolf eye' camera mode?
If you have a laptop (Mac or Windows), they usually don't have numpads. For that, you have to press (and hold down) the second function button (usually called Fn) before pressing 9.
If your keyboard does have a numpad, however, you can just press 9 to access the headcam.
Press the same button again to deactivate the headcam.

Just wanted to add on that if your computer still doesn't go into the HC (like mine did), you can also change the key you have to press to activate it by clicking the input tab on the WQ Configuration window that pops up before you begin playing, and then change the Head Cam key to something else^^

Re: What type of sight do you prefer?
For me, it really depends. I find it easier to pick up and feed pups in the normal view. When I'm tracking down a carcass, I use the scent view. It seems to hard to keep up with everything when I'm in scent view. It's hard to focus. I get a lot more in my sight when I have it in normal view.
