Weird wolfquest 3.0 bug!

Post by GoldenBeauty » Sun Sep 06, 2020 10:49 am

Today when I loaded a saved game, the world was stuck on a random location of Amethyst Mountain (overlooking the mountains and Lamar valley of course). Toggling the perspectives didn't change it. But perhaps the strangest thing about this glitch was when I looked on the AM map and there were Slough Creek icons! My wolf had 1 pup icon displayed on the map and my mate was farther away than what would be considered normal. Additionally, there was a yellow arrow that said ''labelname'' and the territories were arranged in Slough Creek's map. My wolf had a pup affinity bar on her icon (displaying health, stamina, sleepiness, hunger) too. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

Does this mean Slough Creek is...
near

(edit)
OK, this is a lot weirder now after looking around.. it's as if the glitch was released accidentally and I'm looking at one of the dev's test games! Can someone translate Latin?

I have so many questions.. and what even is a "packmate wolf"??

You have a corrupted save. The game will erroneously display Slough Creek information when you are clearly in Amethyst Mountain; some corrupted saves have displayed puppy pawprints to the left of your wolf badge's affinity bar. The team are trying to find and address the cause of save corruption. Please follow the instructions provided here to report it: https://steamcommunity.com/app/926990/d ... 602443183/

Lorem Ipsum is dummy/placeholder text. This same tactic is also used in Lost River for the newspaper dispenser near town hall.
Nothing interesting happens.

This clears up so much confusion! I have reported the corrupted save in-game though. This is the first time I've ever encountered this before, so I'm assuming it happened today or at least very recently. I'm not sure why Slough Creek information is being displayed however, perhaps it was leaked through somehow.. but hopefully it'll get resolved.
And as for the Lorem Ipsum, I've actually encountered it before on several occasions, but I always thought it was just to fill up extra space. Interesting article.
