Well, not everybody will like it, since it IS a simulator and the life of a wolf is not a very good one. You just gotta try to get used to it.

Maybe, did you download DOSbox? If you have, make sure you know how to use it, there's a tutorial on how to get games to work on it.

You dont have to worry about that with this game, its classified as Abadonware, which means no one owns the copywrite and no one but those who play it care about it anymore. You can also look through various abadonware sites to see some games that they used to have that are no longer available because someone dosent want it given away for free and various things. The best example I can give is Underdogs, which has a few games that are off and on again available for download based upon the various owners of the copywrite.

so in a nutshell, if you cant download it from a abadonware site, then its not legal to get that game for free, if its available for free download from abadonware sites, then its legal to get it so long as its done for free.

What is the game mostly about? Do you just play a wolf trying to survive the wild??

yeah, (way-too-long description ahead) you use different senses to find out where everything is, and you can hunt different prey and you have to find water, and sometimes there's humans that try to shoot you

and you have a pack and you can challenge to become alpha (if you didn't start out as alpha already), and there's night/day and seasons that go by way too slow

(i think i figured out once that a season is about 6 or 7 hours.. don't really remember), and if you live long enough you can have pups, but like i said, they almost always die

i like the plains, even though i think it's the hardest to survive in because it doesn't have very much water and it has more humans (i think), i just like how it looks... and not sure about prey, usually i just eat rabbits, or carcasses that were already there... it can be hard to get your pack to follow close enough behind you to help you hunt big prey, they always run into trees or something and get left behind

(okay i like this game but it does have its problems, lol... I hope WolfQuest doesn't have wolves running into trees

I wonder how you can keep your pups alive then? Whats the point of the game if it won't let you keep your pups alive?

it's still kinda fun to play as a wolf, even if you don't have pups... although pups would sure be helpful because the rest of your pack also dies a lot (usually from humans) so you end up with barely any pack left

then i usually start a new game, lol...

but i think it's possible to keep your pups alive because on another forum people were talking about this game and someone said their game had been going for years and had a pack of 30 wolves, but it must be really hard.. probably you have to save the game really often and keep going to the last save every time your pups die, until you get them to live, but i don't feel like doing that

well i finally got pup's on the game i just had Auto Play on for like hours evil old me XD
and yeah u can keep your pup's alive u just have to use eat and take then just bring the food to the pup's ^^

yeah but there's never enough food, at least whenever i had pups (which was only a few times really), since you have to stay near the den, all the prey around the den dies out, until i had to go like 30 screens away from the den to find food, my pups were practically dead by the time i could even get to food
