Re: Imported Isle Royale wolf makes return to mainland

This is honestly one of the funniest things I've seen recently. They dropped that wolf and it just went home LOL.

Re: Honing Performance

I was waiting for this kind of blog post but I didn't think it'd be this soon. It's really interesting just how much goes into optimizing things. I hear about it a lot but it's never really gone into detail My laptop runs 2.7 best on 'Good' so I'm definitely expecting to have to upgrade depending on...

Re: Most irritating animal misconceptions

- Tortoises and turtles are not synonyms. Turtles live in water, tortoises live on land.

- Piranha will rip into anything that falls into the water. They're actually rather harmless.

- Rabbits make easy pets. They are actually very high maintenance animals and need a lot of attention and care.

Re: Worst Games You Played?

My sister really wanted a game called Cereal Soup. It was some corny looking wolf/lion/weasel role play game. I warned her of possible viruses and the chance it wouldn't work. But she insisted. It took like an hour to set up and at least 15 minutes to make some weird looking weasel character. Then,...

Re: Herd Any Good Names? (Help us name the elk herds!)

Very very long post. I am so sorry, I couldn't make it any smaller @__@ it might also sound a bit jumbled since I spent a long time trying to trim it, rip. After thinking about it for a while, the solution for singling out and tracking down a single herd may not be to name the herds themselves, but...

Re: Herd Any Good Names? (Help us name the elk herds!)

//Edit// From what I remember seeing in the beta testing video, there was a scent profile for a cougar that was just labeled "Cougar" for a while, but when it was closer, it said "Male Cougar". Depending on how the team wants to name the elk herds, they could maybe give them names ("Yellow Elk Herd"...

Re: WQ 2.7 costs $10. Is it worth it?

It's worth the price and honestly always had been, so I'm happy it has the price now. A lot more of a fun game with friends, since when playing on your own it can stale easy, and there's no guarantee your multiplayer experience will be great. The added bonus of getting 3 as a free bonus is honestly ...

Re: Herd Any Good Names? (Help us name the elk herds!)

@TheBeanzLover that could be something. Perhaps the herd names worked when you are a farther distance (older scents, thus more unclear) and after you got a certain range closer, the info will become more clear. That way you aren't getting detailed info immediately, but won't be disappointed when you...

Re: Herd Any Good Names? (Help us name the elk herds!)

Exactly how varied are you thinking of making the herd compositions, Dave? If they're all mostly the same, or vary little, it would be best to go simple so it serves the functional purpose (identifying the herd a player tracks from other herds), but if you plan on having more unique builds of elk to...

Re: WolfQuest Multiplayer Pet Peeves

Right? I can understand cheesing a game occasionally but why do it all the time? Shake it up a little! People who get huffy in more lax games can sometimes cross an irritating line, too. I was hosting an XPHunt game the other day and we all were taking a break to let the birds and scavengers clear ...

Re: WolfQuest Multiplayer Pet Peeves

Oh yeah that too. It's hard for me to find Raise Pup games that aren't already finished by the time I join them, and I'm always interested in helping and taking the time to go get food and hunt, but then when I do get into early games, there's a pile of carcasses already and when people do hunt aga...

Re: New Tricks for the Pack: Improving MP functionality

I think a sort of little results thing after a hunt or confrontation with other animals would be nice! Not the sort of grading scale kind but more just a simple "who landed the first blow, who did the most damage, who landed the killing blow". ETC. A sort of page that shows the tally of things each ...

Re: WolfQuest Multiplayer Pet Peeves

Not communicating with the other players in a chat-room game. A lot of problems I've encountered are EASILY solved if someone would just speak up instead of continuously whining about it, long after the incident even happened. Just say something if it bothers you. It goes a long way. Expecting peop...

Re: Beta Testing WolfQuest 3

I hardly use scent view in the main game anymore, knowing where herds spawn like I do and since there's no trail to follow when a moose first spawns. I mostly just use it to relocate moose or bull elk after feeding from a carcass a little bit away, so it's very nice to see it have a lot more importa...

Oof that looks awfully painful on the pronghorn's part. Super interesting though.
