Re: v1.1.0 Released!

I’m amazed at how the team gets more efficient every year. In 2014, this update would’ve taken three years, not six months!

Re: Eight Enjoyable Enhancements from the Backlog

Once again I’m struck by the level of thoughtful detail and research that goes into every little change of the game. I’m glad you make these devlogs. It’s always so fascinating seeing the rationale behind every addition or tweak, especially when you have to balance realism with user experience. I a...

Re: Lost River is Released!

You guys have outdone yourselves! This map is stunning – and I can tell you've made tons of optimizations, because I can now run the game on the highest graphic settings on my Macbook Pro without any difficulty (which would've been a pipe dream this time last year). I love that Lost River incorpora...

I love this idea and I’m excited to see the results of your experiment. Such a good way to make full use of the genetics mechanics!

Re: This 'n That

The territory carry-over might be the single greatest quality of life update since AE came out! I loathe having to do the territory mission repeatedly (especially when I'm playing the same wolf multiple years in a row) and so this is a big relief.

Re: New Injury System (Welcome back, Limpy!)

I can't believe after all these years Wolfquest is getting an injury system! It's like you're working through the list of all the most popular suggestions in 2011! :)

Re: Howl and Response

This is one of my favorite quality of life updates! It's amazing how little touches like this can make a world feel infinitely more immersive and alive. It's also fascinating to me that almost every little tweak is based off of real wolf behavior now – something that wasn't possible even just five ...

Re: Ideas for New Episodes/Future Updates

I'd like a way to reminisce when iron wolves pass away from old age (since the save for iron wolves is deleted, no matter how they die).

10 years of being on Wolfquest Forums: A Retrospective

Today marks a decade of me being a part of the Wolfquest forums and it's left me feeling reflective. I've loved the game for even longer and have countless good memories from there, but it's the forums that have shaped me the most. I was something of a rogueish rule-breaking outlaw, joining the for...

I absolutely love the new achievements and Loach’s artwork. I’m not usually a game completionist, but I can already see myself spending hours trying to get them all.

Re: Why are the forums so inactive?

Well said Dusky. I think a forum structure that is less rigid than present, but not as casual as the Discord could be a great middle-ground option. So, what would a forum that’s comfortable without being chaotic look like? I think a lot of the Forum Guidelines reflect both an older era of the inter...

Re: Why are the forums so inactive?

I can see why younger users in particular take issue with the forums. These forums essentially raised me and were my gateway to the internet. Even still, I was regularly frustrated with them my first five years. The forum rules are very rigid and (given the large number of subforums) often non-intu...

Any spots in SC with lots of wildflowers?

In 2.0-2.7, I loved that the area surrounding the Aspen Heights den was filled with flowers and it became one of my favorite spots on the map. I haven't been able to find a similar location in AE's Slough Creek. Are there are any equivalent spots with tons of wildflowers?
